Scattered thoughts

Thanks to everyone who posted or pm'd me with recommendations yesterday. I now have a long playlist with lost of variety. Hurrah!

Rather frustratingly I realised Edexcel have shaved over a week off this year's marking time. Bah. I am pondering writing to them to ask why.

Why is it that the night before you have to get up super early it always seems particularly difficult to get to sleep? And last night I had trouble staying asleep too. Not funny, whoever's fault it is! I'm specifically looking at you, $deity!

Anyway, I'm off to London today (have to be on a train in less than 50 minutes to be there on time) to my edexcel moderation day (yes, I'm marking for them again this year!), after which, assuming I'm not dead, I'm hopping over East London way to see kimble and barakta. I know I'm an old hand at this, as I remembered to ask for a receipt when buying my train tickets so I can fill in and submit the expenses claim there and then. *Awards gold star to self for being organised like that*

It should all be quite nice, assuming I can stay awake :)

In other news:

I don't have an advent calendar. Noone seems to have them any more. This makes me sad :(

Also, I have marking to do today, and lesson planning. This makes me even sadder :|

At least I'm at home and warm with ben and this makes me happy :) There are also only 10 more days left at school before the holiday which makes me want to dance ;)

Moof curry tomorrow, so I will work hard tonight so I don't have anything to do when I get back from it.
