Thanks to all of you great people who met me at woodies and had a great time with me. I had a lovely time and it really cheered me up :) I'm clearly not as unpopular as I thought I was :D Or pub is just a really great attraction ;)

So ta vree much to [livejournal.com profile] cutter666, [livejournal.com profile] manyfacesofjase, [livejournal.com profile] oziris_00 and [livejournal.com profile] cgaqualla. Also thanks to [livejournal.com profile] benc, [livejournal.com profile] twigathy and umm...the other dude whose name I should but can't remember (edit ahha! ben says he was "elate". Dunno if he has an LJ ;)) who all turned after the car crash which was reportedly the compsoc SGM. I had an ace time :D

Now I'm just waiting for curry to be delivered. Mmm. Curry.

Yay pub!

Been busy sorting things already. Am busy and happy :)

Handed essay in today. Have another overdue :( Hopefully get that done over the weekend :)

Belated valentines post - Ben made me cry by surprising me and also being very sweet.

Still ups and downs and the downs can still be very nasty, but the ups are definately dominant and much more up :)

Here we go again?.

In other news, it's been a very up and down week from the POV of my recovery from depression but am on the Up again now I think. In terms of things happening it's actually been a very good week.

I have a place to gain experience to support my PGCE application at Community College Whitstable where my lovely employer Sue works in the Science Department. It seems like a really good school and they were really super helpful. I'm getting experience in the classroom (as a teacher's help or assistant or something), doing paperwork (making and photocopying worksheets etc) and observing other teachers (the deputy head is going to teach me how to observe teachers, something that I will apparetly learn for my PGCE anyway).

It all sounds really cool :D So, pending a clear police check (which was sent off on Thursday when I was at the school for an interview) I should be cleared to start this straight after half term. It was worth getting dolled up in a trouser suit and feeling like a bit(read "lot") of an idiot (even though Ben and Miles said I looked lovely/nice/whatever) after all it would appear.

Other excitement is that on March 7th I should be going on a Fun History Trip(TM) to ypres. I'm actually really excited :D Sounds like it will be excellent (if rather tiring and probably wet). I've been before in year 9 of High School but I know so much more now. I will take my camera and take pictures this time too.

OOh, compsoc stuff finally starting to come together :) Not too much longer now, we promise :)

I think that's about it for stuff I was going to say...

Weekend

An odd weekend all in all, but good fun :)

Saturday started very very early as ben had to be on campus for 8am because Library power had to go off for maintainance and so all the kit in the machine room had to go off too. So he went and did that, then we had coffee from Starbucks while Estates played around with the power before coming back so ben could switch all the kit back on again. Then we gathered bits and off I drove to London where I went to see Telehouse cos ben had some work to do there. I must admit it was very very shiny, but this wore off after about 10 mins and then it was just boring ;) Met some ANL people, which was quite jibbly and found their attitudes to me really good. Found people listening to my opinion on something and taking my comments on board and *that* was very cool. Anyway, after breaking some stuff (and 6 hours there) ben and I departed to have dinner with my mum and brother and *what* a dinner that was :D We had 3 courses, including Serrano ham for a first course! I haven't found anywhere in canterbury that sells this precious material :D Biiiiiiiiiig Chicken pie for main course and yumyums for dessert. It was unfortunate that we couldn't stay longer :| I like home visits.

Sunday was ben's parents where we ate yummy spag bol and chatted and had a generally nice time. I got my birthday pressies from them cos I won't be seeing them again till after my birthday. I got 21 presents and £21. I can see a theme here ;) Lots of chocolate and nice smellies and a really cool book with piccies of Britain in the World War Two. Only downside to ben's parents is their cats who are great but have such fine fur that it irritates my chest and nose, so antihistamines are always needed when we visit ;)

Hrm...I think that's about it. My life very boring ;)

Ooh - quick plug. The Comspoc website is actually back up with new content! :D

Must get dressed now and go to work...(much babysitting tonight :))

chaos. You are the healer.

Millitary Division - Navy.
Millitary Department - Command.
Weapon of Choice - Mind.

Strength - 3.
Dexterity - 7.
Intelligence - 9.
Wisdom - 10.
Honour - 10.
Soul - 10.

What Felexian Hero are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

In other news I think I'm coming down with freshers flu - in my case this takes the form of a nasty barking tickly cough that makes my chest hurt.

My diss marks are supposed to be in my college pidgeon hole sometime today so I'm feeling a bit sick about that.

Having a down day in general today - part of a bad week cos of various stuff. Don't mean to be cryptic but it's not stuff I can really talk about.

Keeping busy trying to sort CompSoc stuff and doing prelim reading.

Tom saw the name "milton keynes" this morning and asked if that was the famous amusement park *grin*

Um...that's it ;)
