lizziecThere are some things that convince me absolutely positively about God's existence. The sunrise this morning was one of those things...After many mornings in a row cowered against the drizzle and rain it was cold and dry this morning and I wished I didn't have to hurry in to work. It made me happy that I was up and around at 7:10 to see it.
The sky was revealed before me stretching on and on into the distance. The clouds stretched acreoss the sky like ribbons of coloured cotton wool....cloud then sky then cloud and so on seemingly forever...The rising sun coloured them so beautifully. The sky between the ribbons was light blue and the clouds themselves were so many different colours ranging from vivid orange in the west where the clouds stopped altogether and just mingeled with teh sky which was the most perfect blue, to golden yellow in the east where the sun was just starting to raise itself over my edge of the world. It was like God had got out a paintbox with all the colours He made in it, he took out a giant paintbrush and coloured the sky on a whim...like a child will colour a piece of paper. Each colour seemed more perfect and beautiful than the last and it's like He kept going until His canvas was completely filled. As I looked back at it from the top of the hill the trees - all without their leaves now - were standing proudly silhouetted against the sky and the birds flew overhead and I was filled with more joy in my heart than I can possibly express in words.

Anyway...taht was it. It was truly magnificent :)
