That pretty much sums it up. All of you who keep dumping on hums degrees, especially history? Stop it. It's not big, it's not clever and it's really starting to grate. I'm not in lectures all the hours God sends but I need to do a lot more independant study and reading. So what if you think that sux when you're in 9am lecture? Deal with it and stop taking it out on me.

I got sick of them all dissing my course as well, especially at the beginning. I don't get so much of that anymore as I think I have proven myself to be as intelligent as ay of them.

Just remember to throw that employment statistic at them, espcially considering that CS has the worst employment rate at the moment....

"at the moment". But do CSers who have just passed the first year need to worry about now? The market is rising again and sorting itself out. So, by the time we graduate it should be in demand again

a) It's just inter-course (giggle) banter, all in jest.
b) Instead of leaving the channel in a huff, why not just talk about how it bothers you seriously?

Just because I'm in a "minority group" doesn't mean that I should expect to be dumped on or criticized on a regular basis. I got sick of it, as would you after almost a year of it I suspect.

I left the channel before I got into an argument that I hadn't the energy to have and before I said things that I regretted. Intercourse banter is all very well, but it never seems to be your course that is dumped on. Try it, see how you like it.

Im with you girl- try doing a course thats looked upon by CS'ers as CS for idiots, and have them tell you that at every possible chance. At least with hum's you dont get grouped with the arogant so and so's by the rest of the university!

..to avoid an argument I wasn't in the mood for over irc..or maybe to avoid being picked on some more. It was the best way I had of dealing with the situation at that time.
