K...so the main hang up yesterday was that I found out that the clock here at the Home Office doesn't start until 7.30am. Which means that about 2 hours of my life have been wasted (that's roughly the amount of time before 7.30 I've worked since getting here) This was a particulary crushing blow because yesterday morning I'd been in since 6.50am and my line manager told me she wouldn't sign an update for the extra time even though it only shows the extra hours, not what time they were worked...So even though mum still makes sure I'm in before the time the clock starts I'm not going to be doing what I have previously and working...I'm going to put work off as long as possible. In addition to this I spent large chunks of yesterday and the day before trying to contact my finance officer at Uni about the threatening "if you don't pay now you might not be able to register next year and we're gonna charge you even more money in fines" letters I've been getting. As i've tried to explain in the 3 letters I've now sent by fax and post, I can't give them money if I don't have money.

Yesterday lunchtime I got lonely and as a consequence I ended up in an internet cafe sshing into my box. I got about 20 mins of irc that way. I don't think it'll work today however, cos when I had to reset the gateway this morning it just stopped working altogether...which means no net at home. I musta reset it about 10 times in an hour and...well, nothing :(

It would also appear the email I sent from my UKC address to my work one hasn't come thru which is shitty cos I was going to spend time this morning doing some HTML for alex.

Last night I had a nap of about 1hour30 when I got in. Woke up all sweaty and ugh. Watched CSI with mum and Phil and an interesting programme before that about what if the Nazis had invaded the UK during WWII. It was really good. Second part of Tuesday. Interestingly enough it was on C5 which appears to be carving out a reputation for itself now as a rival to C4 and BBC2 for history programmes.

Woke up this morning all headachey and sweaty. Painkillers have stopped the headache but my body still can't decide if it's too hot or too cold. The best way I can describe it atm is "Clammy" which is bad, cos I'm really not feeling great and I have work today and then tonight dinner with family...namely my canadian Aunt's "I'm here for one week a yea and have to see a whole load of people so lets do a 3 hour dinner and that's my guilt at not seeing you more for a year safely out of the way" meal.

...and my exam results still aren't through :(

Bah. I should do some work.

My box is available for you to SSH into for IRC and the like. I'll email you the details later (may be a little different since the death of macaroni).

I'm really impressed by the amount of work and effort you're putting in to your job, your family and university. You're a wonderful person and things are going to go right for you.
