The letter I've been waiting for arrived this morning. Pretty much what I expected really.
Dear Elizabeth Overal,
I am writing in response to your request to have your name removed from the records of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which request you made in April 2003.
This is indeed a very serious step, one that will lead to the cancelling of your baptism, with far reaching eternal consequences. I urge you to reconsider your decision.
I testify that this is the Lord's church, that Joseph Smith did restore the church and that there is a prophet at the head who recieves guidance and direction from the Saviour. God does live; Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God. I bear witness that the teachings of this church will lead to happiness in this life and exaltation in the eternities. Even after our discussion, I would urge you to reconsider and invite you to meet with me once again and see if another course of action could be taken.
Should you change your mind and want this action rescinded, please contact President David Eaton, the stake president within thirty days of recieving this letter. After that time, if he has not heard from you, your request will be actioned. You can contact President Eaton on the following address and telephone number:

Yours sincerely
