Clarie's dinner, making an idiot of myself and lovely Pete

lizziecWent to work and did that stuff pretty much as usual. Went to breakfast - a skel day and he let be jibble about on his 'pooter for a bit which was nice. He has a nifty laptop as well as an ordinary one so we both got to play! Pete's new mouse arrived this morning which is good cos his old one sucked! lol. Anyway, worked half heartedly at essay for a while and then went to work. Came back and went straight to Clarie's with Pete and Alex cos Clarie's Christmas dinner was tonight.
Meal was very nice indeedy (even got to see dt in a skirt) until I started behaving very badly indeed. The essay situation has gotten no better and I'm panicking. Solution = use a 'pooter NOT connected to the net. Who owns such a 'pooter? SKEL!!! So I asked him. I said please. He said no. I didn't let it drop. At least 10 minutes of the following ensued.
ME: Please
SKEL: No
ME: Please
SKEL: No
ME: Why not?
SKEL: Because you need to learn to work.
ME: Is that it?
SKEL: You need to learn to work to deadlines.
Anyway, proceeded to push too far and almost lost my temper and said some stuff I'd have regretted forever. God only knows what poor Pete thought. I later realised he was right (well, I knew he was at the time but why choose *now* to teach lesson!) and that he's only looking out for me. No comfort for me atm tho. Have to see what tomorrow brings. Anyway, Bill (Mortuus47) eventually came to the rescue and let me his laptop which he had there. I typed 100 words in 15 mins. The others were amazed. I don't think they knew I could work that fast! I used the laptop until we had to go back to the uni and then he let me use it during the #cs meeting in Eliot Dining Hall, which was nice. I like being around my friends while I work. Anyway, net result is I'm only 300 words away from the end of the essay due in the Tuesday just gone. Still have the one for tomorrow to do but I'm hoping I can think of something to avoid procrastination tomorrow. God only knows when I'll get time tho. I have to buy crimbo gifts for the kids and pack and do essay. There's NO TIME!
Anyway, a group of us, including Pete and I wandered back to the uni for the cs meet but when one of out number had to go their parter looked very upset indeed, esp when we called to them to come with us. Nennyway, got back without incident tho I should prob have paid more attention to Pete but I was worried about upset person who is a lovely friend of mine. Went back to my room, got the bitz I needed for #cs meet and jibbled over to EDH. When I got there settled down on laptop with essay. Pete kept me company which was nice and creature being creature kept telling me to do my essay. WHich is very him and to begin with slightly annoying tho it does keep me on the straight and narrow with my essay (evidence-amount of work done). Still managed to sing some songs tho so I was pleased. Came back here in the cold and logged on to irc had convo with Pete that ran thus:

aww...:) How sweet! :) And my friend managed to sort out arrangements so asto get maximum amount of time with partner. Good for them! :)
