lizziec | Ooh!

Ooh! Was given a code by Skeldof so that I can actually start one of these things! :) Anyways, I'm in quite a good mood, which is odd cos I had a generally crappy day. All five of my alarms went off as usual (yes, count them, FIVE) and according to my mother I sounded pretty awake when she called at 7 to make sure I was getting up and ready for work and still I went back to sleep! I only woke up at 8.15 when they tested the fire alarms in the college. Thing is, I'm supposed to be at work by 7.30 and I finish by 8.45. I raced to work on my bike, nearly getting killed by a couple of irate car drivers! Missed them there so tore off to their school where I caught Tom who only told me "mummy was a bit annoyed". That meant I had to wait till she got home tonight to find out if I still had a job. Anyway, felt so depressed was almost suicidal (or felt it at the time) and wasn't helped my the mauling out my mamma gave me about it being inevitable cos I'm getting so little sleep. Anyway, went back to bed after that, skipping 9am seminar which I have still to do the essay for and slept till 12.30.

Woke up, came onto irc (eek!) and did about 50 words on my essay which is a rehash of an old report anyway and jibbled about on irc for 2 hours before going to pick up the kids (the ones I childmind for!) and took them home. While they were reading (and I conned them into half an hour!) I started marking up textbooks then got bored and read the Radio Times instead (man, I REALLY need a work ethic!). I wonder if the kids notice 10 minutes takes longer when I'm there than when anyone else is minding them...

Found out I still have a job. Yay! :) Sue said it could happen to anyone! (v. true, esp on 3 hours sleep in 48...) and gave me another go. Then the kids and I made paperchains. SO mood was considerably lighter when I went to Pete's after work where we jibbled about on IRC and cuddled a bit. He also gave me the lotr ttt st which was lovely of him. :D Then I went and ate dinner in Rutherford (don't usually but hadn't had breakfast or lunch so I had to) and then went to the Carol concert at the Cathedral and had a good sing! I love Christmas Carols and it was amazing in the Cathedral. My voice was louder than anyone round me so I got some strange looks but I don't care!

Got lazy and caught a cab back then came to 'pooter room to do work and listen to new cd but have been procrastinating on irc for 4 hours but learning about becoming a good friend. 4 hours? Ohoh...

I wish I was snuggled up to Pete but I'm still here, ostensibly getting on with work. Need bed!
