A couple of memes
Saturday, December 23rd, 2006 08:13 pmI have a couple of meme's I've been saving for a while.
The first one I was tagged on over a month ago by
dunna_angel.
Once tagged by this entry, the assignment is to write a blog entry of some kind with six random facts about yourself. Then, pick six of your friends and tag them; no tag backs. This explanation should be included.
1) I really dislike Poinsettias. I call them Pointlessias and there is one sitting on my desk right now that I was given for Christmas from work. I'm surprised it's not dead yet TBH. I've had it more than a week and have yet to even unwrap it. If anyone wants it before I kill it please comment and take it! I'll even deliver within CT1/CT2!
2) I have a thing for Giraffes. I think they're really awesome. We have a picture of some giraffes in our flat and several giraffe soft toys around :)
3) I also have a thing for the NPower Orbs (also see my icon) and was thrilled to bits when
benc brought me a pair for my Birthday. They are currently living ontop of my copy of Lord of the Rings next to my side of our bed :)
4) My favourite find of the year (or at least December) comes from
benc who let me know about the Christmas German Market in Canterbury City Center over by Whitefriars. The Hot Chocolate from there was awesome, the enormous sausages for the Hot Dogs mind blowing and the beautiful woodwork on the Black Forest wood stall breathtaking :)
5) I collect Chalet School books by Eleanor M. Brent Dyer. I only have 8 left to get, of which 3 have recently been or are about to be republished by GGBP (see below) Come the new year I want to join the two chalet school clubs and once I have a full set of books I'm looking to replace those I have with ones published by Girls Gone By Publishers who republish the Chalet School books unabridged (none were unabridged except for the first editions). My list of the ones I own and want to own is here.
6) I am very interested in Titanic conspiracy theories and two of my favourite books on the subject are The Riddle of the Titanic and Titanic: The Ship that Never Sank? even though they're full of holes (especially the latter which seems to confuse the names and ranks of the officers in places).

Finally ready for Christmas now! Tree up, shopping done, presents wrapped. This all means I can spend tomorrow pampering myself and not going out. It's almost enough to make me appear organised! Wooyay! :D

You scored as Soprano. As a Soprano, or, more specifically, First Soprano, you are characterized by your love of drama. You are constantly seeking attention and love to be in the spotlight. Lucky for you, you seem to draw others to you, lovers and admirers alike. However, you can be anal, overbearing, and prone to hysterics.
