Sweeney Todd
Saturday, February 2nd, 2008 11:27 pmSweeney Todd was excellent. When it comes out on DVD I shall have to get it again. Interestingly, the death that made me cringe the most and hide behind my hands for was the one I didn't see coming until right before it happened. I would say go see it - so long as you're not bothered by blood (fake or otherwise) or would be uncomfortable with the fact it was mostly sung. I really enjoyed it.
Had dinner in Frankie and Bennies after, which almost didn't happen as the cash machines building at the complex had been the scene of a bulldozer cashpoint robbery - the building it was in was virtually demolished on the side where the machines used to be and surrounded by police tape. A word of warning to anyone going to the cinema at Ashford anytime soon - take plenty of money, for you won't be able to withdraw any while you are there! (Wish I'd known that! :})
Finally, a quick reminder: I'm going to the Tuesday 1:50pm showing of St Trinians and I'm willing to take other people - let me know if you want to go :)

Date: Sun, Feb. 3rd, 2008 01:03 pm (UTC)I'm not really awake yet. I imagined gerbils getting pissed on white lightning cider and singing, fighting, vandalising bus stops etc. before realising you meant the clanking of the water bottle.
