Interesting day

lizziecSpent yesterday mostly at Franklyn Road with my ben, then adam's parents arrived and we had to clear out to make room. Well, really we just advanced dinner plans. Said hi to his parents (who seem very nice) and then pottered off into town where we ate at the Old Weavers House and then pondered our next move.
It was decided by consensus to go to Ashford and see what the Cinema had to offer. We expected there to only be The Day After Tomorrow but were resigned to the fact and felt a silly destroy-the-world type movie would be good for us. Instead and to our surprise Shrek 2 was on, and all the showings were open :D So Phil brought tickets to a showing that had started literally a minute before and we settled down to watch.
Wow...what a film. Shrek 2 was better (IMO) than the first film. So funny and very very clever, and Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots and Jennifer Saunders as the Fairy Godmother stole the show :D
