the conclusion that you have both posted articles which are not suitable
news posts to ukc.misc. Please note that the group exists for short term
discussions only. It must not be used for advertisements, ridicule, making
accusations, threats or having arguments.

Please consider this to be a formal warning, check the Good Practice
Guidelines on E-mail and News Posting and the Regulations for the Use of
Computing Facilities at the University of Kent.

To be fair, although provoked, we did take the piss out of him quite substantially. And it was most certainly an argument.

Not saying she's right, but by the letter of the regs she's got the book on her side.

Yea, I know, but the warning was directed only at myself and dep, which I find ridiculous seeing as worse things were said by other people. If she objected to the flamewar she should have BW'd everyone who took part, or none of them. Moreover, she should have read all the replies and looked at things in context.

I spent last night looking through my posts to misc and I can't see what he could possibly have reported that was badly against the regs.

When does a debate become an arguement? Personally, I would argue this.

If she gave you that, why didn't I get one?

I have pissed off more people than you and D E P put together, and still no warning.
