Tuesday, February 3rd, 2004 05:39 pmThis was the day my sister was born. She didn't live very long, not even 24 hours I believe. I often imagine what she'd be like. I shortened her name from Catherine a while ago and decided she'd have grown up to be a Kitty. I like to imagine what she'd have been like...probably musical. I never imagine her with flaws tho I bet she'd have been as rotten to me as I was to flittie. I doubt with an older sister and being the middle child I'd have turned out like I am now...being the oldest has certainly given me responsibility. Bet she'd have been nice...given that she'd prolly have turned out like flittie and I she'd certainly have been capable of talking...
In a change of subject to something completely different...one of the funniest lecture moments of the year was in my cinema viewing thing today. We saw Went The Day Well? and at a really tense moment where the postmistress is trying to place a call out saying the village has been taken over by Germans her call is ignored for a bit...and in that time a German comes in...you see him creeping up behind her... just as he;s about to stab her with his bayonet you hear from the front of the lecture theatre "OH SHIT!"...
We all dissolved into giggles ;)
"Went the Day Well? We died and never knew.
But, well or ill, freedom, we died for you."
^^ THe words from the start of the film...I thought them most excellent...and unfortunately not really apprpriate for todays casualties of war :/
