More Snow!!! :D

Riight... Well, I played on the net for a bit then skel came over and formatted my fat drive before I had to go to work. Picked up kids and waled back while it was snowing then their mum got off work early so I went to get skel so he could help me finish off my computer. Found out that the part with windows had been formatted instead so much badness ensued ie, reinstalling windows and all the various drivers! Am now very glad indeed that I brought aqll those seeingly useless cd's with me...
When that done and office 97 and open office also installed had another go at formatting fat. Worked this time (don't know what skel did to it but it worked). The tried to sort out linux...
Did a lot of stuff to it involving much typing and paying attention and I got a headache but I think I'm learning stuff. It's like my brain expands but then it shrinks back to normal size and...bah! We'll see I guess. Skel helped me with kernel recompiling (he told me what to do and I did it!) then after some annoyingness with drivers that we needed and no internet managed to make it all work! Yay! :D Doeesn't like my monitor and mouse much tho so may have to get new shiny ones when next in canters...tho can't really afford new monitor. I'm hoping someone will sell me new old monitor cheap! ANyway after 5 or so hours (and much singing along to Queen among other bands) was done. And we noticed it had snowed and settled. Was very pretty at 1am. Not so pretty this morning at 7.15 tho cos it was hell to ride thru. A load of people had disturbed 1am snow ith snowball fights and so was ice underneath snow. Very scary for a bit there. Waled kids to school. Bah! Snowballs! Children! Grr...
Still in very good mood tho! :) I'm a ppc room and getting toasty warm. Just as well really cos I have to go out and do shoppping later (also have to reinstall all things that were installed in windows like games and reference stuff and other such jibble)! grr...
