So after many years I am finally reinstalling my main machine, aragorn. It runs debian testing and yesterday it broke horribly when I dist-upgraded. The machine stopped using UK keyboard layouts (in X) and nothing I did would convince it to start working properly again. My F keys stopped working so I could no longer get from X to a TTY. This, and other breakages caused me to finally bite the bullet and reinstall the damn thing. Luckily ben just cleared out Vindaloo's disk space and so I had lots of space to back everything up. It's just about finished grabbing X packages so I can get out of this godawful black and white (elinks) soon ;) It would be taking me waaaaaaaaaay longer, but while I was out this afternoon the lovely

benc did a whole load of stuff that means I may well be done by bedtime tonight :) Hopefully this time it won't be horribly broken :)

Been a busy "half term" with stuff from Uni and I have still more to do tomorrow, but I had a nice evening with Sue on Sunday and today

slimeypete took me to lunch. Mmm, Subway :D Now I'm watching Final Destination with ben. Wish I wasn't back at Uni on Monday... :( I like this lazy thing ;)
