Well, my exams have finished so I'm chilling and finding time to go over the news with a fine toothcomb and there are loads of things today that I find I want to comment on, so bear with me and read or just skip through, I don't mind which ;)

Firstly, it would appear that President Bush is starting to lose control of his battle to supress Homosexual Marriage, as another place legalises it. I think it's a positive development, both for Homosexuals and for the USA. It proved to me that the President can't impose his will on the whole country and it makes me glad and gives me some hope for the States in the future.

This is novel, but I'm not entirely sure that I would want my public spats to take place over the medium of music, especially when that music can be brought and kept - I don't think it will do the argument any good and TBH, I can't help thinking that this is just seen as a way to make money for the participants. I think I'm a cynic.

no...just...no. I don't see how they can spin it out to a full film anyway and weaving in a love story? Do the makers not rememeber Pearl Harbour?! Some things are better left alone. Well alone.

The news that Shire Horses are in danger of dissappearing is very sad as they're lovely to see around, occassionally pulling wagons from brewers and for me they form a central part of one of the happiest holidays I had. The year after my father died we went to a villiage called Noss Mayo (and here) and stayed there with my father's sisters and their spouses. It was a lovely holiday and whilst there we went to, among other places, the National Shire Horse centre where I saw the largest Shire Horse in the country. They are a lovely breed and their dissappearance would be a great great shame.

Bwhahahhahahaha - excellent idea >:) I might even take up chewing gum just so I can stick it on Peter Andre's smug mug ;)

Unfortunatley the effects of asbestos are nothing new for my mother's family, as one of her brothers died of mesothelioma, which is an incurable lung cancer, caused by asbestos, which he was exposed to when he worked in a ship yard. I think anything that hilights the threat of this nasty stuff is excellent, just so everyone appreciates the danger of it and the devastating effects exposure causes to people's lives even years after the exposure.

Bwhahaha - I shall go do some work or something now :)
